Rules of responsibillity

Rules for enjoying snow sports in a responsible way(*)

Snow sports can be enjoyed in many ways. At the ski resorts there are people who are equipped for downhill skiing, snowboarding, telemarking or cross-country skiing, and even other kinds of specialised equipment such as that used by people with disabilities or other skiers.

Independently of how you decide to enjoy yourself on the slopes, you should always show respect for other people and remember that snow sports contain elements of risk that can be reduced by using common sense along with a little care and attention.

Please take note of the rules listed below and share your experience in the snow with other skiers in a responsible manner.

  • Always make your descent under control! Make sure you can stop or avoid other people or objects.
  • The people in front of you have right of way.
  • Stop in places which are safe for you and for everyone else.
  • Before starting your descent, look up and give way.
  • Use stoppers, straps and other systems which avoid the loss of skis and boards.
  • Obey the signs and signposts and do not go onto closed slopes.
  • Know how to use the lifts and use them safely.

Be responsible!
