The Dom Pérignon Lodge comes to Baqueira Beret
From 15 to 22 February the Val d’Aran resort will be home to a pop-up lodge open day and night where visitors can tuck into tasty food and sip Dom Pérignon champagne.
Baqueira Beret is to host the Dom Pérignon Lodge over seven days from 15 to 22 February in Beret at over 2,000 metres above sea level. The venue will be open day and night and provide its visitors with some unique experiences.
During the day there will be a VIP lounge open to the public with direct entry from the runs. Here guests can relax in a privileged setting on the terrace while drinking Dom Pérignon champagne to the rhythm of a DJ Live session and paired with snacks specially created by chef Ramón Freixa (Michelin ** and Soles Repsol ***). The celebrated chef will ensure that the culinary experience is complete and unforgettable as it will feature some of his most well-known dishes and snacks along with others specially created for the occasion.
When night falls, the focus of attention will shift to inside the Lodge. Dog sleds will pick up diners in the Pla de Beret car park and take them to the candle-lit marquee entrance. In the Lodge with its chalet-style decoration diners will enjoy a special five-course set meal (€360) also created by Ramón Freixa and paired with Dom Pérignon Vintage 2009 and Dom Pérignon Second Plénitude 2000.
Dom Pérignon is using the event to pay tribute to its Second Plénitude champagne. It is vintage champagne which means it is only made in special years. The brand’s first release called Vintage emerges after about seven years, but a very small number of bottles are kept in the cellars and continue to age until the second release when the champagne reaches its peak of energy. These few bottles are marketed with the name Second Plénitude. In this case the Lodge’s set meal will be paired with Dom Pérignon Second Plénitude 2000, champagne made with grapes harvested 18 years ago and which has been ageing for over 14. A unique opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable experience.
