Baqueira Beret will have the entire resort open for the Christmas holidays
The Three Kings have turned up early in the Val d’Aran and the Valls d’Àneu with abundant snowfall in November and December that weather permitting will make it possible to open all the runs and lifts.
The opening forecast could not be better with the three Baqueira, Beret and Bonaigua areas open for fans of winter sports who have chosen the Aranese station as a Christmas destination to round off 2017 in style.
At the moment the highest parts of the resort have up to 150 cm of snow on their slopes and the mountain teams are hard at work to make sure that the 105 routes totalling 152 km spread across an extensive skiable area of 2,166 ha are all up and running. The snowpark and the free 7-km cross-country circuit are also being spruced up. Over the last three days up to 75 cm of snow have fallen at the resort and temperatures have plummeted to -15º C. These are ideal conditions to leave the resort all set for Christmas.
Clot Der Os Fun Park
This weekend the Clot Der Os Fun Park opens in Beret, a 1.5-km thematic circuit for children aged 6-12 and also adults who want to have fun. Right along the route there are two themes. The first consists of modules with children’s figures and geometric elements for kids to interact with. The second part inside the forest looks at the fauna of the Val d’Aran featuring animals such deer which even make the same sounds as in their natural habitat. Entry is via the chairlift of the same name in Beret.
